Ken moved to Fremont in 1995. His previous home was in New Jersey, where he owned a 33 apartment building, and several multi-family homes. All New Jersey properties have been sold. He has two daughters, three sons, a granddaughter, and a grandson. We’re sure you will see his children and grandchildren in the coming months, when they come to Fremont for visits. Ken currently works for his brother, Tom, who owns eight McDonald’s restaurants in the Fremont area. Ken is part of the team that maintains the heating, ventilation, electrical, plumbing, and other maintenance needs for McDonald’s. He will continue to work for McDonald’s on a part-time basis.
Kathy is a native of Fremont and formerly worked at Our Lady of the Pines Retreat Center. She is stepmother to Sean Burkin, whom you will occasionally see when he is visiting Fremont. Kathy’s mother was a resident at the Fort Stephenson in the 1980’s.
